Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate incident response
- Develop and implement vulnerability management programs for federal systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive briefings
- Conduct penetration testing and risk assessments on classified systems
- Maintain and enhance security documentation including policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with Splunk, ArcSight, or similar SIEM platforms
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., AlienVault, Recorded Future)
