Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats targeting federal systems in the El Paso region
- Implement security protocols to protect sensitive border control infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop incident response plans for border security systems
- Collaborate with CBP and ICE teams on security integration projects
- Stay current on emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industries
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Experience with federal NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and threat intelligence interpretation abilities
