Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT systems for veteran healthcare services
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive veteran data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology modernization projects
- Provide technical guidance on VA IT policies and compliance standards
- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services
- Train staff on new technology implementations and best practices
- Document system configurations and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of federal IT experience with GS-11 equivalent
- Active Security+ CE certification or DoD 8570 compliance
- Expertise in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms
- Experience with VA-specific IT systems (VistA, CPRS)
- Strong project management and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
