Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate incident response activities
- Develop and implement security policies and risk mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards
- Prepare detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
