Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to identify and mitigate potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents in strict accordance with NIST and federal compliance standards (FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security controls and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, incident reports, and risk assessments.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for staff and stakeholders to enhance organizational resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCFA required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT security or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
