Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cyber threats to federal systems using advanced SIEM tools
- Develop and implement security protocols aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct incident response investigations and forensic analysis
- Collaborate with cross-agency cybersecurity teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Prepare detailed security assessment reports for senior leadership
- Lead vulnerability scanning and penetration testing initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and cloud security principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, AlienVault)
