Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security standards
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement security controls
- Document security protocols and prepare compliance reports for OMB
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in network security or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in Splunk, Wireshark, and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
