Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on federal information systems and networks.
- Monitor security alerts and traffic to identify, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and DFARS standards.
- Perform regular security audits and provide actionable recommendations for system hardening and improvement.
- Collaborate with IT staff and stakeholders to communicate security status and technical requirements effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Deep understanding of federal security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
