Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and develop incident response plans
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop security awareness training
- Manage security access controls and identity management systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in network security or cybersecurity operations
- Certification in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH
- Proficiency in security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
