Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for federal IT systems
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Manage security access controls and authentication systems
- Prepare detailed security compliance reports for senior leadership
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and network security protocols
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms and security automation tools
- Demonstrated experience with zero-trust architecture implementation
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
