Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical infrastructure
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and coordinate response protocols
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal cybersecurity standards
- Train federal employees on security best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with cross-agency security task forces on emerging threats
- Document security policies and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in IT security with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or equivalent certifications
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC frameworks
- Strong analytical skills for threat detection and incident response
- Excellent written and verbal communication for policy documentation
