Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity protocols for federal IT systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Monitor security alerts using advanced SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Lead incident response for cyber threats including ransomware and APT attacks
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA standards
- Mentor junior security staff and conduct cybersecurity awareness training
- Collaborate with CISA on threat intelligence sharing and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security with CISSP/GSEC certification
- Expert knowledge of network security, encryption, and zero-trust architectures
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Proficiency in security tools: Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel
- Experience with FedRAMP and CMMC compliance frameworks
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
