Responsibilities
- Lead threat detection and incident response for federal systems
- Implement NIST cybersecurity frameworks across agency networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement on cybercrime investigations
- Develop security policies and procedures for classified systems
- Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and train federal employees
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and CMMC regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Knowledge of federal IT security policies
- Strong written communication skills for reports
