Responsibilities
- Analyze federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for VA leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal data security standards (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on veteran service improvement initiatives
- Prepare monthly performance reports for Congressional stakeholders
- Maintain integrity of VA's national veteran database systems
- Lead ad-hoc data requests from VA executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal data systems (e.g., VISTA, CDW)
- Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and advanced Excel functions
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements (OMB, GAO)
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI preferred)
- Experience with veterans' healthcare data systems highly valued
