Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and transform sensitive government data
- Create interactive visualizations using Tableau/Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and security protocols
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for congressional briefings and policy committees
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to standardize data collection methodologies
- Maintain documentation of data processes and analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with federal healthcare data systems (e.g., CMS, NHANES)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R
- Expertise in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements and data governance standards
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and big data technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
