Responsibilities
- Analyze and visualize border security data using SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Develop predictive models for cross-border traffic patterns and threat detection
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (FISMA, NIST)
- Collaborate with CBP and ICE teams to support operational decision-making
- Generate monthly performance dashboards for congressional reporting
- Lead data quality audits for CBP's Laredo Sector operations
- Maintain secure data pipelines in AWS GovCloud environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with federal data analysis (DHS/CBP/ICE a plus)
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and visualization tools
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Certification in AWS GovCloud or federal data security frameworks
- Proven experience with geospatial data analysis (ArcGIS/QGIS)
- Strong understanding of CBP operational data systems (TECS, IBIS)
