Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and validate large-scale federal datasets to ensure high data quality and integrity for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical modeling and trend analysis to support program evaluation and policy decision-making.
- Report Generation: Develop comprehensive written reports and executive summaries for government stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Visualization: Create interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to visualize complex data for non-technical audiences.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices comply with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with policy makers and IT teams to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a defense contractor.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or SAS; experience with federal data repositories is a plus.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical data into clear business insights.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
