Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gather, clean, and validate complex datasets from various federal sources to ensure high-quality input for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets.
- Visualization & Reporting: Develop clear, interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict federal regulations, security protocols (e.g., FISMA), and agency policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with program managers and technical teams to define data requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows and improve the efficiency of data reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a defense contractor environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying, and experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Tools: Strong command of data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret security clearance.
