Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gather, cleanse, and validate large volumes of federal data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform strategic federal initiatives.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop clear, concise, and compelling reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or SQL to present findings to stakeholders.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to federal regulations, privacy laws, and internal security protocols.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define data requirements and translate technical findings into business recommendations.
- Database Management: Maintain and optimize databases, writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a defense contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python or R, and data visualization tools (Tableau or PowerBI). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance is required.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data to non-technical audiences.
