Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets to support veteran health outcomes research
- Develop automated reporting dashboards using SQL, Python, and Tableau for leadership decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (HIPAA, FISMA, and VA regulations)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data collection methodologies
- Present findings to senior stakeholders through executive summaries and data visualizations
- Implement data quality protocols to maintain integrity of veteran information systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal/government data analysis or healthcare data roles
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Strong understanding of federal data compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Familiarity with VA-specific systems (VistA, CDW) or federal healthcare databases
- Active security clearance eligibility required
