Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop automated reporting dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for VA leadership review
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and other federal data governance standards
- Collaborate with program managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Document data workflows, validation rules, and quality control processes
- Present findings to stakeholders through executive summaries and data visualizations
- Support ad-hoc requests from congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years analyzing federal/healthcare datasets with proven regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for federal reporting requirements
- Familiarity with VA data systems, CMS datasets, or federal healthcare standards
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated data validation methodologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences
