Job Overview:
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and analyzing large-scale datasets to support decision-making processes for federal agencies. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify trends, create visualizations, and produce reports that drive policy and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure high data quality for federal reporting.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, anomalies, and correlations within government datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and establish best practices for data governance.
- Create comprehensive reports and briefings for senior leadership and federal clients.
- Ensure all data processes comply with federal regulations and security standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
