Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various federal systems and sources.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within government datasets.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Tableau to present findings to stakeholders.
- Support Federal Initiatives: Collaborate with subject matter experts to support specific federal agency missions and data governance requirements.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with federal regulations and security protocols (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Documentation: Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries to support knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS. Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
- Visualization: Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
