Responsibilities
- Analyze federal datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights supporting homeland security missions
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Create compelling visualizations and reports for executive stakeholders using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure strict compliance with federal data security protocols (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance frameworks and quality controls
- Present findings to senior leadership with clear recommendations for policy improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis with federal or government contracts
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or federal compliance (e.g., CISSP) strongly preferred
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical insights to non-technical audiences
