Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various federal sources to ensure high data quality and accuracy.
- Analyze complex data trends and provide actionable recommendations to support agency objectives and policy decisions.
- Develop and maintain secure dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with federal standards including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines for data governance and security.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize data workflows.
- Maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and analysis methodologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a federal government or defense contractor environment.
- Clearance: Current Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle), Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Visualization: Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of federal data classification, privacy laws (GDPR/CCPA), and security protocols.
