Responsibilities
- Conduct Advanced Data Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns.
- Visualize Insights: Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and federal agencies.
- Ensure Data Governance: Adhere to federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) to maintain data security and privacy protocols.
- Report Generation: Prepare high-level executive summaries and technical reports that drive decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with subject matter experts to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical models.
- System Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in data pipelines and implement solutions to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government, defense, or intelligence sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python (Pandas/NumPy), and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (depending on role).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on detail and accuracy.
