As a Federal Data Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to ensure data integrity, support decision-making processes, and contribute to high-stakes federal projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain complex data models and dashboards using advanced tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement effective data governance strategies.
- Prepare clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and briefings for senior leadership and government clients.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, security protocols, and data privacy standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure high-quality data for analysis.
- Conduct statistical analysis to support program evaluations and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) is required.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (or Secret clearance) is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
