Responsibilities
- Analyze federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies affecting veteran services
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for leadership decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data collection methodologies
- Prepare monthly performance reports for VA leadership and congressional committees
- Maintain documentation of data processes and analytical models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data systems and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and R for statistical analysis
- Certification in Tableau or Power BI required
- Experience with veteran healthcare data systems (Vista, Cerner) preferred
- Strong knowledge of FISMA, HIPAA, and federal data governance standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
