Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support office operations, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Manage incoming correspondence, answer telephones, and route inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical records in compliance with federal regulations and VA policies.
- Prepare and format documents, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules, calendars, and meeting materials.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information and personnel files.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency and service delivery.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Required for federal employment.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience is preferred but not required for this entry-level opportunity.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability: Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) and attention to detail.
- Clearance: Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
