Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile federal financial transactions using SAP and GSA systems
- Analyze budget variances and prepare comprehensive financial reports
- Ensure compliance with federal procurement laws (FAR/DFARS) and OMB Circulars
- Coordinate with Defense Department agencies on payment processing and audits
- Implement internal controls to safeguard government assets
- Mentor junior staff on federal accounting standards (GAAP/GASB)
- Support year-end closing processes and financial statement audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years federal accounting or financial management experience
- Active DOD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Proficiency in SAP financial modules and Excel data analysis
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or DAWIA Level II certification preferred
- Knowledge of federal appropriations, fund accounting, and NFPAs
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
