Responsibilities
- Process and coordinate veterans' health benefit enrollments with 100% accuracy
- Interpret federal healthcare policies (VHA, TRICARE, FEHB) for veteran inquiries
- Conduct eligibility assessments using CMS and VA databases
- Collaborate with medical teams to resolve benefit-related claims
- Maintain confidential records in accordance with HIPAA and federal guidelines
- Train veterans and family members on benefit options via virtual/in-person sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in federal benefits or healthcare enrollment
- Proficiency with VA systems (Vista, VBMS) and CMS databases
- Familiarity with 38 CFR Part 17 (VA benefits regulations)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background clearance
- Certified Federal Benefits Specialist (CFBS) preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
