Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize electronic health record systems in compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations
- Analyze healthcare data to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Implement data security protocols for sensitive veteran health information
- Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding
- Lead system upgrades and process improvements for health information workflows
- Train staff on health information management best practices

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- RHIA or RHIT certification required
- 3+ years' experience with EHR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Expertise in HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Experience with VA health systems highly desirable
