Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VA's IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cybersecurity systems
- Implement and troubleshoot electronic health record systems (VistA) and clinical applications
- Provide technical support to staff and veterans via ticketing systems and on-site assistance
- Develop documentation for IT policies, procedures, and system configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions aligned with VA's mission
- Ensure compliance with federal IT security standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and system testing
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licensing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management or systems administration
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- U.S. citizenship required
