Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze advanced persistent threats (APTs) targeting federal networks
- Lead incident response operations for cyber security incidents
- Develop and implement network security protocols and controls
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with interagency partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Prepare detailed technical reports and security recommendations
- Maintain compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal position)
- Minimum 5 years experience in cybersecurity or IT security
- Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent DoD-approved certification
- Expert knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
