Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT systems including network infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud-based platforms
- Develop and implement secure data management solutions in compliance with federal regulations (NIST, FISMA)
- Provide technical leadership for cross-agency IT projects supporting veterans' healthcare services
- Conduct system audits and performance monitoring to ensure operational efficiency
- Train federal staff on new IT systems and security best practices
- Collaborate with Department of Defense and other federal agencies on joint IT initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive IT experience with federal systems
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in network security, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and federal IT frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (required)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and federal IT procurement processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure
