Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across federal facilities in the Chicago region.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal staff.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DHS guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new cloud technologies.
- Provide technical training and support to federal employees, ensuring they can utilize IT resources effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance schedules for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
