We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. Due to an immediate expansion of our federal contracts, we are conducting urgent hiring for a dedicated professional to protect our nation's critical infrastructure. In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive government data. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly influence national security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Threat Detection: Monitor enterprise networks and systems 24/7 using SIEM tools to identify and mitigate security anomalies.
- Incident Response: Lead forensic investigations and coordinate incident response plans during active cyberattacks.
- Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA frameworks.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, update, and enforce security policies and procedures for federal systems.
- Credentialing: Support the security clearance process and manage access control lists (ACLs) for sensitive data.
- Training: Conduct security awareness training for staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: Active Top Secret/Secret clearance is mandatory. CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically within the federal government or defense sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption standards, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
