Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure and network systems for county departments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime for essential services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions that streamline government workflows.
- Enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and data privacy regulations (FISMA, HIPAA compliance).
- Provide advanced technical support and training to county staff and elected officials.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee system upgrades or migrations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain up-to-date system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis or network administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL databases, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards and ITIL framework.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Clear background check and ability to pass a drug screening (standard for government roles).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
