Responsibilities
- Network Security Administration: Implement, monitor, and manage security protocols to protect federal information systems from cyber threats.
- System Configuration: Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure optimal performance of federal IT infrastructure.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to federal laws, regulations, and agency security policies.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations and remediation efforts for security breaches and system anomalies.
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical guidance to internal stakeholders and junior staff members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, security audits, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. (Equivalent experience may be substituted for education).
- Certification: Active CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Background Investigation (Secret or Top Secret).
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing leadership and stakeholders.
