Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates for federal government servers and workstations.
- Weekend Support: Provide critical technical support and incident resolution during weekend shifts to ensure business continuity.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict federal security protocols and ITIL best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all system changes, incidents, and resolutions.
- Hardware Management: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and repair of hardware peripherals and network equipment.
- User Assistance: Provide technical guidance and training to federal staff members regarding software applications and systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal background investigation (Secret/Top Secret clearance may be required depending on specific role).
- Schedule: Must be available to work alternating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and some holidays.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Services.
