Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security alerts during the evening shift to detect potential threats.
- Perform critical system patching, configuration management, and maintenance for federal servers and workstations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to maintain strict FISMA compliance standards.
- Respond to Tier 2/3 technical incidents and coordinate with Tier 1 support teams for resolution.
- Document incident reports, security procedures, and technical configurations for regulatory audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT infrastructure performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret/TS clearance) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal IT support, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and FISMA compliance.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a high-stakes environment.
