Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive cybersecurity protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Train staff on security best practices and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national security initiatives
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of IT security experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of FISMA compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
