Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain NIST cybersecurity frameworks across federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Develop incident response protocols and lead security breach mitigation
- Manage identity and access control systems (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP)
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and federal data protection regulations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on security awareness training programs
- Analyze emerging cyber threats and recommend defensive countermeasures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT security with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Familiarity with FedRAMP and CUI handling protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) architectures
