Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems including network infrastructure, databases, and cybersecurity protocols
- Provide technical support for VA applications and veteran-facing digital platforms
- Implement IT security compliance measures (FISMA, NIST) across classified and unclassified systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades and disaster recovery planning
- Document IT processes and prepare compliance reports for federal audits
- Train staff on new technologies and security best practices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal employment mandate)
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal IT systems administration
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ and/or AWS/Azure certification preferred
- Experience with VA-specific systems (VistA, EHR) highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of FISMA compliance frameworks
