Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex IT systems and network architectures for federal agencies.
- Ensure full compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security regulations and standards.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and junior analysts.
- Manage and maintain documentation for system configurations, security protocols, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
- Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance (or willingness to undergo a background investigation).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Professional Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
