Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) infrastructure across state facilities.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and systems.
- Collaborate with federal and local partners to ensure interoperability of communication systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform necessary upgrades to optimize performance.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Certification in Cisco CCNA or Microsoft Systems Administrator (MSA) is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
