Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance for government operations.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software for federal and state employees.
- Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding new software and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to manage IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with federal compliance standards such as FISMA or NIST is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and obtain necessary government clearances.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
