Responsibilities
- Monitor & Maintain: Oversee the performance and health of the statewide network infrastructure during the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Incident Response: Diagnose and resolve critical network outages, security incidents, and performance bottlenecks that occur after hours.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct automated vulnerability assessments on network devices.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical logs, runbooks, and change management documentation for all night operations.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and managed service providers during their business hours to resolve escalated issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, specifically within a large enterprise or government environment.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Remote Work: Must possess a dedicated workspace and high-speed internet suitable for technical support duties.
