Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex federal network environments, including server infrastructure and Active Directory services.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with FISMA standards.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to federal staff and agency stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain security clearance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize IT solutions for federal applications.
- Document technical configurations, create standard operating procedures, and maintain accurate system logs.
- Monitor system performance and respond proactively to outages or security incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Active Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- 3+ years of experience in IT system administration or support within a government or highly secure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall management.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent GS-7/9 experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
