As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be at the forefront of modernizing our digital infrastructure while adhering to strict federal compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for federal computer systems and networks.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions in compliance with FISMA and VA directives.
- Monitor system performance and ensure 99.9% uptime for critical applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Train end-users on new software systems and best practices for data security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support or network administration.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
